Fucking brilliant. Check out Lady Gaga’s new film Marry the Night ! You see LG and you always expect the worst and then she just gets better every time. Your life is ruled say by social democracy and social science in a cosy, mid-sized town. Lady Gaga is well tempered.

See, social democracy is kind of cool and kind of not. And so is Lady Gaga. I want that she lives somewhere on the Upper East side. Her dining table is a mirror. Eat yourself! Who’s there? Hunger! It is just not what social democracy is about. But she’s got hair.

And social democrats don’t. And social scientists don’t have hair either. Lady Gaga is Romantic and social democrats are not. Marxists also were never Romantic. The real Marxists live only in New York City. And the social scientists they are in love with their atoms and molecules. It is the same zeal. It’s like when Lady Gaga baptizes herself once more. Everyone likes the show.

I love Lady Gaga. It’s like she reminds you of the toxicity of it all. Of course she is real. But social democracy is about real things. Very real. And you can’t live on the edge of glory when you are a social democrat. Can you hear me, Tony Judt from New York City?
